Market research
Competitive saturated market, photo-booths were differentiated by distinct photographic styles.
I started by researching South Korea's photo-booth market. I personally visited roughly around 30-35 photo-booth stores in-person, documenting the size of the photo-booths for different vendors, materials used for interiors, in-store props, color schemes, and photo-qualities.
Good interior lighting, various props, stools and height adjusters, photo collections, pricing, mirrors, and appropriate dimensions.

The average headset weighs About 503g, and the current design creates a ripple effect, leading to various problems related to usability.

Poor Wearability During Long Sessions
Due to the centralized weight of these headsets, users were much likely to experience discomfort when using the device for extended periods of time.
How might we
How can I design a photo-booth that is portable and convenient to setup, while balancing exterior and interior aesthetics to ensure photographic qualities?
As vague as this may sound, this “How might we...” question was used to I cater towards my specific demograph of users. I ideated hypotheticals features, pain-points they may come across, and how I can design a balanced product that the users will see as value.
Market research
Harmonizing structural architecture with a private but inviting aesthetic.
The demographic of people who spend their money on lunchboxes are often people who are living a healthy, responsible, planned lifestyle. Meal prepping itself takes a huge amount of effort, planning, and a lifestyle commitment that revolves around it.
Design language; imagining CMF, form, and mood
Taking design inspiration from iconic EV models and luggages.
I started by sketching out side-profiles of Carrion to explore basic silhouettes. This was followed by 14 more detailed side profile sketches to refine the concepts.
Design and CAD modeling
I modeled the sketch in SolidWorks, studying how common head wearables distribute its weight.
By studying and mimicking the weight distribution of different headwear designs, I was able to develop a comfortable headwear design that optimized the weight distribution for the user's head and face, resulting in a functional and comfortable design.

The AI proactively analyzes the user's brief and generates undefined variables, which are presented as actionable tasks on the project equation map for the user to select and define.

To get started, Arctika guides the user to define their initial project idea, which will be used to generate a project equation, surfacing unaddressed variables from the user's initial brief.
